Address: Donaghmoyne, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan,

Mannan Castle Golf Club is situated in the village of Donaghmoune near Carrickmacross. Set in rolling farmland there are great views of the surrounding countryside and onto the drumlins in Monaghan. The course is 18 holes on contoured parkland and is generally flat.

Without doubt the signature hole is the par three second. Although only the 13th hardest hole on the course it presents a tricky test. From an elevated tee you hit down onto a small target area that is protected by water at the front. The green itself has a stonewall backdrop and there is a spectacular floral display spelling out Mannan Castle. The most difficult hole on the course is the par 4 8th. Your drive here has to get away, otherwise you are blocked out by trees as the fairway doglegs right.

The clubhouse is a brand new state of the art affair with full changing, bar and restaurant facilities. There is a friendly atmosphere in this bustling clubhouse that has every service that you would want after a superbly enjoyable round.
