Address: East End, Kilkee, Co. Clare,

Founded in 1888, Kilkee resides in one of the most popular counties for golf in Ireland, County Clare. In recent years it has developed into an 18-hole course, successfully blending the old course with the new layout. The land is pure, rugged links and much admired by famous names in golf, including Greg Norman, who, incidentally, has just opened his course at Doonbeg just 20 minute's away. The views in Kilkee, however, are breathtaking. The first and second tees look out onto the expanse of the Atlantic Ocean and the third tee overlooks Chimney Bay, with a spectacular clifftop view.

Kilkee is a popular seaside resort with many fine hotels, restaurants and lively bars in the area, so you won't find yourself twiddling for things to do off the fairways. Generally speaking, this is ideal links country where the welcome is as memorable as the golf.
