Address: Templenoe, Kenmare, Co Kerry, Ireland,

The Ring of Kerry Golf and Country Club is located in the village of Templenoe, four miles west of the town of Kenmare in South Kerry on the "Ring of Kerry" route. As Kerry's foremost golfing experience, the course sits majestically overlooking spectacular Kenmare Bay. The architectural brief for designer Eddie Hackett was to create a "world class" golf course that is sufficiently flexible to challenge competent and experienced players from the back teeing areas, yet be capable of being played and enjoyed by the average handicap player from tees further forward.

The brief also included that the golf course be to a standard capable of hosting smaller professional golf events, both Irish and European. At 383-yards from an elevated tee box, the par four 6th tee shot will require an iron from the tee to ensure a safe passage to the fairway amid the wind. Only from there is the green within easy with a mid-iron. As with any good golf course there are holes that require wits and a good deal of deliberation - get it right and it's an experience you won't forget in a hurry.
