Address: Derryvale, Roscrea, Co Tipperary,

Following the purchase of some fine parkland in 1991 Dr. Arthur Spring was commissioned to extend this course from nine to 18-holes of championship standard. So successful he was that Roscrea is now celebrated as the home of some of the best putting surfaces Ireland has to offer.

The greens have been created to USPGA specifications and they are virtually perfect, regardless of the time of year or how often they’re played.

Nestled in the shadows of the Slleve Bloom Mountains the course is in an ideal location in the geographical centre of Ireland. It’s also the only course in the country that has direct access off the Dublin-Limerick road making it all the more easy to find.

The highlight of any round here is surely playing the delightful par-3s of which there are 5. The favourite for many is the 6th where you have to carry 180 yards over water to find the green.

Easy to find and now made even more affordable by GFS, there’s no excuse for not checking this one out today.
