Situated quarter of a mile south of the town on the N62 road to Roscrea to Thurles sits this wonderful test of golf. Templemore is a nine hole parkland course with the with great views of Devil's Bit Mountain in the background. The club was founded in 1970 and has at present 370 members. The first and ninth are par fives, so it's a tough start as well as a tough finish. The course measures 5, 443 meters from the medal tees for 18 holes.

A new clubhouse was built in 1999 with downstairs mens and ladies locker rooms, toilets and showers. Upstairs is a welcoming bar and function room with good views of the course. Other facilities attached to the club include two all-weather floodlit tennis court. Groups and societies are made to feel at home.
