Tuam Golf Club

Relocated to its present location in 1974, Taum was redesigned by Ryder Cup Hero Christy O’Connor Jnr who, some years before, had been the club professional here.

Now a championship style course set in 200 acres of mature parkland, it can boast many natural qualities as well as lay-out that will challenge anyone who graces it’s luscious turf.

One of the reasons for that is that the course has an abundance of hazards. Whether its bunkers, tree-lined fairways or water features, of which there are six, you’re going to be worried on each and every hole.

The 8th is particularly challenging, a potent mixture of slight dog-leg, sand and water, anyone who plays this hole with a pronounced draw or slice is going to pay the price.

Once you have done you’re best on the course the magnificent clubhouse awaits offering a fine selection of food and drink and wonderful views across the Galway tract.
