With views of the surrounding Donside and Bennachie hills, Alford Golf Club takes in some of the most picturesque scenes the North East has to offer. One of Aberdeenshire’s most recent additions to its roster of golfing venues, Alford was originally opened as a nine-hole course in 1982, before being extended to 18 holes in 1992.

The parkland layout winds through deciduous trees and shrubbery to create a challenging yet rewarding course golfers of all levels can enjoy. A par-69, from the white markers Alford measures 5483 yards. Relatively short, the course at Alford emphasises the need for accuracy rather than power as players attempt to navigate the tree-lined fairways, with precise club selection crucial to avoid strategically placed bunkers.

The modern clubhouse, opened in 1994, offers a warm and inviting atmosphere in which to enjoy a post-round drink or meal. Visitors are welcome throughout the year, with discounts available for larger parties and golf societies.
