Garmouth & Kingston Golf Club was founded in 1932 and can be found nestling on the west bank of the River Spey between the twin villages of Garmouth and Kingston near the mouth of the river. At 5935 yards and with a standard scratch score of 69. The course is not too demanding and is popular with locals and visitors and offers one of the warmest welcomes along the Moray Coast. One of the main features of Garmouth & Kingston is the consistently small greens and the numerous hazards that have to be encountered.

The 8th hole measures only 328 yards from the medal tee, but proves that difficulty is not always associated with length. The fairway is bounded by a ditch on either side with the ditch on the left being Out of Bounds for the entire length of the hole. This requires a good tee shot and a sound approach to the green to avoid any of the hazards.

The 17th hole "Whinney Side" par 5 as its name suggests has gorse bordering on both sides of the fairway which can be intimidating to any level of golfer. There is more room off the tee that it would first appear, but any slack shot will find bushes. Another aspect of the course is the abundance of wildlife which surrounds it and the ever shifting River Spey has at least brought our ever present summer visitor, the Osprey, closer to view.
