Longside Golf Course is a small and charming course on the outskirts of the village. Situated in some of Scotlands most fertile farmland amid the rolling pastures. A prominent feature of the course is the River Ugie which rns through the course itself. The nearest town is peterhead on the coast although Longside is inland itself.

The signature hole of the course is the par 5 8th. This is the longest hole on the course and is also the most difficult. Your drive has to be long and accurate to give yourself a chance here. A ditch must be negotiated with your second shot and the river flirts with your 3rd. The green is protected by Bunkers on the left and the river again at the back. of several par 3's the 5th is the most difficult. The river plays an integral part again as you tee off from an elevated tee.

The clubhouse is small and friendly and is a popular place to socialise with the locals. Any visitor is assured good conversation and a friendly welcome. In summer, the club does a variety of meals and snacks and is the perfect place to relax after a round.
