Situated on the Braes of Cowie overlooking the North Sea, Stonehaven Golf Club boasts some of the most dramatic holes on Scotland’s east coast. The course is located on the eastern most point of the Highland Fault Line, which is said to split the thirteenth and fifteenth holes. Though set amidst a stunning natural landscape, Stonehaven also possesses a curious man-made feature. ‘Hitler’s Bunker’, a crater between the first and second holes, was fashioned by a misfiring German air raid in 1940.

Stonehaven is a combination of a distinctly links coastal section and a parkland style stretch of holes once you cross the railway line that intersects the course. It is a relatively short course, at 5,103 yards and with a par of 66. The seven par-3s require precise approach play and considered course management to negotiate the gullies that naturally form the contours of the coastal holes.

Stonehaven welcomes visiting individuals and societies, who are sure to be greeted with a warm reception. The club also offers an excellent catering service with an extensive menu that caters for all tastes.
