This par 70, 6299 yard parkland course is set
in the heart of the capital, between Murrayfield Rugby ground and Edinburgh
Zoo. The course has undergone remodelling and the front nine holes have
been constructed to USPGA specifications, giving an interesting comparison
between the new and the old.
The par 4, 373 yard 2nd demands accuracy off the tee to a flat area in front of
some punishing bunkers, and the second shot has to carry over some further bunkers
to the green. The short par 3 15th requires a steely nerve - to attack the green
or succumb to any one of a series of bunkers.
