Since its opening in 1927, the James Braid designed Dalmahoy East has played host to a series of prestigious golf events. The Solheim Cup, The Scottsh Seniors Open and the Scottish PGA Championship have all been contested over this rolling parkland course at the foot of the Pentland Hills.

A recent redesign has seen the course extended to 7,475 yards, making Dalamhoy East Scotland’s longest course. The aim was to present a stern test of a player’s ball striking, and the 13th and 14th are two new holes that abide by that challenge. Tree-lined fairways scattered with penalising bunkers pave the way to severely sloping greens that demand accurate iron play.

Visitors are invited to ready themselves for the task ahead at the driving range and putting green and unwind in the luxury of the adjoining hotel and leisure facilities. Rental items and the latest golf equipment are available from the golf shop, with whom it is advisable to reserve your tee-time prior to playing.
