The west course offers a different test to the more difficult original at Dalmahoy. The main differences of this newer addition to golf in Edinburgh are small greens which require pinpoint accuracy from the shorter irons in the bag and the gogar Burn. The latter winds attractively through the fairways on the west and over the closing holes creates numerous difficulties for the golfer.
