Woll is situated in a peaceful sheltered Valley following the path of the River Ale, and is surrounded by attractive hills and forests. The course is gentle yet testing, suiting golfers of all ages and abilities. This is a challenging flat course set in the peaceful natural parkland of outstanding beauty on New Woll Estate.

The first hole leads up the valley and over the Woll Burn to the island it follows a drive of mature and majestic tress that line a number of fairways. You then play an attractive Par 4 back across the water, sheltered by a row of spectacular Beech trees. From the third tee you are into the new nine holes continuing up the valley with breathtaking scenery.

Now 18 holes and with a number of water features the course is testing but still remains on relatively flat ground so is accessible to all golfers. The Woll Burn winds through the course, and makes itself known on both the 1st and second holes. The 573-yard par-five 12th provides a challenge to all golfers, and should be treated with great respect. The spectacular Par five 4th hole with raised tee position and the pond to clear is especially interesting.
