Those looking for an untapped gem could do worse than give Ayr’s Dalmilling Golf Course a try. Located between the famous racecourse and the A77, Dalmilling is open parkland that plays away from the clubhouse and lets the golfer take in the views of the surrounding valleys.

Bordering the southern and northern ends of the course the River Ayr adds some early pressure to the opening holes, especially the 6th, an awkward 135 yard par 3 surrounded by one of the River Ayr’s many burns.
