Designed by the legendary Ben Sayers, the course at Moffat Golf Club was opened in 1905. A fine moorland layout, Moffat offers spectacular views over the town itself and the surrounding landscape, while natural undulations and the many subtle borrows of concealed greens present visitors with a distinctive challenge.

A modern clubhouse provides changing room and shower facilities, while the bar is open from 11am and serves draught beers, as well as a reasonably priced full lounge and snack menu, available in the lounge or dining room. Visitors are welcome in all areas of the clubhouse, including the large games room with two full size snooker tables, a pool table, table tennis, darts and TV.

Visiting parties and individuals are welcome year-round, including bank holidays and weekends. The course is open to visitors from 9am daily subject to some restrictions on tee off times. Hire items such as clubs and trolleys are also available. Your game can be arranged by telephone with the clubmaster. Tailor made packages for larger groups and visiting societies can also be arranged.
