This Majestic club is situated in the heart of Vale of Glamorgan in historic parkland and boasts two championship courses. The Mackintosh and Button Gwinnett courses each offer a different challenge to golfers of all abilities.

The Mackintosh is named after Alfred Donald Mackintosh who resided there during the 19th and 20th centuries. It is the less technically demanding of the two but makes up for that by being the longer.

It has been selected for various Welsh Golf union and Welsh Ladies Golf Union events as well as County Matches, which is a compliment to such a young course. The Button Gwinnett is the slightly shorter course but requires accuracy with 13 ponds and views sweeping across the Vale and on to the Brecon Beacons. It was named after the Button family who resided there during the 17th century. Both courses feature tall, over-hanging and mature trees, which create the unique atmosphere at Cottrell Park.

Facilities there include an all weather floodlit driving range, putting green and practice area as well as the clubhouse.
