Hawarden is an attractive parkland course located
near the English county of Cheshire and a twenty-minute drive from Chester,
an inviting old city that has plenty to offer in terms of buzzing nightlife,
accommodation and things to see and do during the day. Hawarden, however,
is a gem of a course that was founded in 1911. Its par of 69 matches the
standard scratch, so scoring for your handicap is often pretty tough.
There are some water features on certain holes and a few thought-provoking
holes as regards club selection.
