Moulded into the natural contours of the land, Neath is one of the most natural looking courses imaginable. In fact it’s hard to distinguish where this gem of a course ends and the beautiful West Glamorgan countryside begins.

It offers a unique challenge to most courses in the area in that it sits majestically atop a high hill at Cadoxton. Most courses around Swansea are links in character and are susceptible to the ferocious coastal winds from which Neath is spared.

Founded in 1934 the club commissioned legendary course architect James Braid to design the course and it bears all the remarkable hallmarks of one of his creations including tight tree-lined fairways and luscious undulating greens.

After playing Neath you’re bound to be overcome by an immense sense of satisfaction that you are now among a lucky few to have experienced a truly wondrous course.

Henry Cotton summed the course up well when he described in a letter to a friend, he said: “I've travelled the entire golfing world but never before seen such golfing beauty as at Neath".
