Palleg & Swansea Valley Golf Club is one golf club that’s destined for a big future after a group of PGA professionals and heavily experienced greenkeeping staff bought the club after it fell into financial difficulties. The new owners bring a wealth of experience with Graham Coombe (PGA professional), the former club professional at the Isle of Wedmore Golf Club with over 28 years of experience, Kevin Innalls, the head green keeper at the Isle of Wedmore Golf Club with over 27 years experience in greenkeeping and Andrew Edwards, currently director and founder of the Isle of Wedmore Golf Club. Additionally, Geoffrey Fisher, a builder in the county of Somerset, has over 40 years experience in the building trade.

The course, which is located near to 2010 Ryder Cup venue Celtic Manor, is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery in the heart of the Swansea Valley, offering picturesque views and a striking backdrop to your round.

Good news for travelling golfers with Green Fee Saver vouchers in their hands if that Palleg & Swansea Valley Golf Club is open to the visiting public seven days a week – all you have to do is phone the club in advance of your arrival and book your tee time (remember to inform them you are going to be using Green Fee Savers vouchers, of course).

Off Junction 45 on the M4 head north bound on the A4067 towards Brecon, at the sixth roundabout (County of Powys sign) turn left to Lower Cwmtwrch, continue for approximately 500 yards to mini roundabout. Turn right up the hill at mini roundabout for 400 yards approx, turn left into Palleg road. Continue up Palleg hill for 1 mile, course can be found on your left hand side.
