Address: Wentloog, Cardiff, CF3 2TN

Opened in 1990, Peterstone Lakes is quickly becoming one of the favourite golfing locations in the South.

With no mountains to climb and no valleys to cross it is a simple walking course but should by no means be considered easy – a length of around 6600 and the par of 72 are indicative of that.

Adding to the difficulty are the natural hazards which come into play on several holes here as the course meanders its way through the natural waterways at the mouth of the river Severn. Choose the wrong time to hit a slice or hook and there’s every chance your ball could be going to a watery grave.

One thing you’ll surely notice on the way round is that the course enjoys the most fabulous setting on land that was reclaimed from the sea over 1000 years ago. It’s also site of Special Scientific Interest and one popular with an array of wildlife.

After your round be sure to sample some fine dining in the stunning clubhouse which looks out onto the clover shaped 18th green.
