To ignore this course because it is only nine holes would be one of the worst mistakes any golfer lover could make.

A definitive hidden gem, it’s tucked away in the north of the country close to the holiday town of Prestayn, which is popular with tourists the world over for its spectacular scenery and warm welcome

Although of the shorter variety, the course has established different teeing positions for each circuit and if you’re planning to complete the full 18 holes you’ll find the lay-outplays surprisingly differently on the second nine.

Stuated at the bottom of the Prestatyn hillside it, like many other courses in north Wales, offers a spectacular mountain panorama extending to the Great Orme and Snowdonia. Although something that sets it apart is the true test of golf that the club can boast to provide, a reputation that it’s nurtured over 87 years in existence.

this year make St Melyd as a must play priority and enjoy one of the best kept secrets that Welsh golf has to offer.
