It is definitely worth a visit to West Monmouthshire - just to say that you've played on the golf course which is recognised as being the highest in Britain! Yes, that's the reward if you're prepared to make the climb from Nantyglo in your car up to this mountain course. It's an 18-hole course with a par of 71 but, at less than 5,500 yards, it is by no means a slog. Indeed, there's some delightful holes and, needless to say, the highest course in Britain offers some excellent views. Off the course, too, West Monmouthshire is well worth the visit and, what's more, it's a place where the value for money is hard to beat. Why don't you make that climb, too.
